MUMBAI: The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday decided to file a PIL against the agitating teachers. ABVP plans to hold a signature campaign in city colleges on Wednesday and ask principals to get striking teachers back on duty. "The strike is causing a lot of inconvenience to students, specially outstation ones. Striking teachers are giving assurances that they will conduct extra classes, but the non-teaching staff have decided not to sacrifice their holidays.
How will practicals be conducted without the non-teaching staff?'' asked Prakash Belwade, Maharashtra state secretary, ABVP. Madhu Paranjpe of Maharashtra Federation of Universities and College Teachers Organisation (MFUCTO), said each college will draw up a workable time table and extra work will be taken up on working days too.
